What a rush

Something about presenting to city council, trying to say everything that need to be said, with the clock ticking down, not quite enough time to read my prepared statement in the 2:00 allotted, but it was OK because no one complained when I went a few seconds over and the mayor asked a question after that, which I answered, and assumed I was done, and left with a Thank You. Maybe I was too nervous. I think it was the time pressure that really got me. I guess now I know that a page of printed text does not fit so well into two minutes.
