Politics: My rebuttal to Zell Miller

Putting a "D" next to your name does not make you a Democrat.

In 2003 he voted against the D party on 49.46% of the votes.

In 2004 he's voted against the D party on 55.83% of the votes.

Last night, I noted that if Kerry opposed body armor for our troops (which was part of a big bill), it was Bush who sent the troops into Iraq without the armor in the first place. The appropriations bill in question was debated after the war had already started, IIRC.

For lack of snappy political statements at such a late hour, Zell Miller just makes my head hurt. Searing pain. On the left side of my brain. The only thing that alleviates it, is knowing that I'm not the only one who thinks he's a crotchety asshole.

I remember he made a statement on "Hardball" about wanting to challenge someone to a duel, to which The Daily Show's Jon Stewart commented, "Zell Miller - building that bridge... to the 18th century."
