It does say "the clean air choice" as a subtitle there, so maybe this is a gasoline that releases fewer pollutants? Carbon not counting as a pollutant even though it's ultimately the primary problem. If so, that does represent an improvement, though not nearly enough to call the stuff "earth friendly".
