Exciting Day

Last day of work! (Friday, today)

It wasn't all bad, it was often even a thoroughly decent job, I'm just sick of it and really done with it and kinda excited about what I'm moving on to. Two summer intern years and 6 years and one month of full time is a pretty good run.

I am giddy and full of snark

It will be unfortunate if it overflows too much onto my friends, but my last day of work at GHS today has me feeling good and ready to blow off anything and vent long hidden complaints.

I'm out. I'm done.

It feels kinda like graduating High School or College. But it's neither of those, instead, I just quit my job!* And it just occurred to me I've never done that before. I had one summer job that I once told I wasn't coming back for the next summer. I had one teaching assistantship in college and that ran it's course naturally. So, yeah, big change is afoot.

It's big and a bit overwhelming and confusing and I want to laugh and cry all at once and I need a hug.

* "just quit my job" is by no means sudden. Months ago I started looking for elsewhere, found elsewhere, and weeks ago I told my now ex-employer. I have throughout been compulsively sensible.
