It's a small thing to my friends in better shape than I, but I'm proud of biking to work 5 days in a row. I can now reliably bike to work in less time than it takes to walk to the subway and take that there. I think the route to work is down hill, and coming back is a bit slower.

Sadly, I'm wimping out today because it's raining and I still lack rainproof pants and splash guards on my bike.

Hey, go you! :-D

And it's okay to not bike when you'll get soaked doing it.

I don't think it's a small thing - I remember how hard it was to muster the motivation to bike in at first. Once I got a solid grasp of how much it improved my day in the short run and my immune system in the long run it got easier, but it's still hard in lousy weather.

good for you!

I think it's awesome. I was just thinking yesterday that I really need to finally claim the bike that was offered to me months ago. Hooray for biking! Hooray for you!

it's pretty awesome.

i don't ride in the rain because my brake sdon't work when they're wet.

and, if you work in kendall (or maybe i'm not remembering correctly) then yes, the route to kendall is downhillish. and you can TOTALLY ride faster than the T.

i sometimes 'race' my bike against friends who are driving to the same destination..and i usually win.
