8 Mile Hike in Shenandoah

Hiked 8 miles in just over 3 hours today in Shenandoah National Park. Saw streams and waterfalls and a lot of really green Virginia hillside foliage, and a zillion little flying insects, and four ticks. Luckily none of them latched on to me, but one made a firm attachment to my shoe.

I need to work on my choices for nature photography. I mostly took pictures of the trail marker posts to record that I had been there.
