Apr. 24th, 2008 10:13 pmFor the last few days I avoided going to the gym due to a lot of little excuses, so I decided I needed to practice going despite little excuses. Today the excuse was 'I just did an hour of yoga', and I went anyway. Going just to get in the habit of going, doing a relatively light workout of 20 minutes of weights for muscle groups yoga didn't get, and 20 minutes on the elliptical runner. I haven't done the elliptical runner in about 9 months, and I was definitely out of practice for going through those motions, but about 18 minutes into it I felt myself get much more efficient and kick up a notch. 20 minutes of steady continuous output is also much different than my 20 minute stop-and-go bicycle commutes. Busy schedule Friday. See if I can get back Saturday.
