Pay-wifi as coffee-shop lock-in

Free wifi may be a draw, but pay wifi gets you repeat business. If I were to pay for wifi at some place, buy a month of service or so, I would have to go back there as often as possible to make sure I got my money's worth. The only problem with that model for me is that I've never paid such a deal. I briefly thought it would be worth doing for about a month when I got here while I was transitioning between old home and new home and might otherwise have no network at home [gasp!]. So far this hasn't been needed as I've been put up temporarily in a place with net. There may still come a time when that has run out and I'm between there and getting things set up at a new place. Then the question will be: Diesel or 1369?
