apartment shopping sucks

7+ hours of running around with an agent later, one missed opportunity and a whole lot of nothing. she knows the region pretty well, and how to drive around it, and that's worth something, but on the whole the process is kinda aggravating. One point of aggravation is that it seems we're wasting time for a lot of people. Hers, mine, the people who have to be there to open up various things. And then there's the instant disappointment upon walking into something we've just driven 10-20 minutes to get to and seeing immediately that it's too small or too expensive or just obviously wrong in some other way. There were a couple good ones, and one that was a good deal in an ok place and enough space and not too expensive and when we called back about it later that afternoon they were already taking an application for it. :-( The agent is still pinging them to see if I can get in there anyway.

So, I need a break from that, I need something relaxing, some sort of actual weekend because the week was all long annoying days of work, so I should just stop looking for places to move to until July and think about it again then.
