Have you ever seen a maple leaf grow? You know that deep red color they 
get in autumn before falling off the tree? They start out that color, 
small, and grow and get green in a sort of reverse of autumn.

Bicycling home, I was stopped and waiting for a traffic light, that was on 
sensor, and not going to notice my bike. A couple guys were standing 
outside the corner market talking, one of them noticed my predicament and 
pressed the walk-button to get the light to change. He was aware enough 
and nice enough to do that!
