Jan. 20th, 2003 12:48 amAnother saturday, another peace march. The difference this time is about
3000 people. Extra good post-march-rally music including one guy from Toad
The Wet Sprocket and a really cool Indigo-Girls-Style-Girl-Band.
Went to a special midnight showing of Fight Club. Naturally this brings
out all the big fans, and all their friends who havetoseeit. Haven't seen
that in a while. Good movie.
Things like that tweak my sense of universal aesthetic, which now insists
that to match all the classes in comparative religion, there should be
classes in comparative fictitious religion. Compare and contrast:
Heinlein's Church of Mars, Vonnegut's Bokononism, Straczynski's Minbari
Religious Caste, the cult of Tyler Durden, Weber's Grayson Church of
Humanity Unchained, etc.
